The actual 55 Chevy movie car still exists and was recently featured, with James Taylor on Jay Leno’s Garage in the episode “Movie Car”. Here is a clip.

Heres a little history. That's the same 55 Chevy that was used in American Graffiti (Bob Falfa's car aka Harrison Ford) which is still the best car culture movie ever made in my opinion and a great representation of what the early 60s were like at least in California where my parents grew up during that time.

I have never even heard of this movie. I have of course heard of James Taylor and Dennis Wilson. I live in the Berkshires about 8 miles from Tanglewood and 2 miles from where James Taylor lives. We occasionally see him on the lake paddle boarding. Okay, I know, that has absolutely nothing to do with cars... just bragging about my neighbor i guess.
