McAllen...I've only seen one other LT4 Z & it was another C6 member here with a 1LE who invited me to a coffee / car deal. Looks like we have a matching pair.

You ever get to the mid-upper??

I would really like to replace the supercharger lid gaskets (part #23642744) but everywhere I look online says discontinued. Anyone know how to get some?

I’d probably get one through your local dealer. I’ve ran into that stuff with online GM parts catalogs. There’s no way they’ve completely discontinued a part that goes on engines that are still in production.

Have you considered an intercooler pump cavitation (air in system) issue? It’s happened to a few members around here.

I haven’t considered that. I will read the threads. I did run the OBD scanner today and no codes were present. Didn’t notice anything odd in the data but I don’t know what all of it means either.

May consider the intercoller cavitation pump....
2 topics about that recently.
I ordered my extra tank and will mod that circuit soon to make sure I have no air!

So, here's a quick story.

I had my 2014 Mustang GT with a VMP kit on it racing in October at FL2K. Temps were over 90 degrees that weekend, and the car was running 11.1 consistently. That's not really a good place to be when you're in the 10.5 index class.

The next weekend, I went out to BMP and the temps were about 10 degrees cooler. The car ran a 10.6 on the shakedown pass. Same everything.

Heat kills power, ESPECIALLY boosted cars.

It all depends on the DA really, and right now, the DA is atrocious in Tampa.

Putting that k&n in is kinda a bad idea. Lots of research and lab testing proves they let in over 10x the dirt as a stock filter, but once they clog they flpw 6-8x less than a clogged paper filter.

Stock filter is back in. These cars seem really sensitive to changes. I’m convinced to stay stock now. When my warranty is up and I have $4-5k to blow I’ll do a little 50-100hp build.

It’s pretty hot in Florida. Most of the gm v8s lose up to 50 or so HP on the stock tune on really hot days. People call the tables in the tune that high temp days lead to the “heat soak” tables. With a tune they can safely be made not quite so aggressive, but never eliminated (for safety of your engine). So it’s possible that your car is just a bit heat soaked. There is also something that seems to happen to most guys in the performance car world. You get “used to” the high horsepower. Yup, even 650. Then you upgrade... and get used to that.... it’s a never ending circle of money and speed.

Living here in South FL, you might also know it as the SURFACE OF THE SUN!!
LOL
I did a little experiment on my own a few months back on a piece of paper, nothing scientific at all.
I wrote down the outside temps when I felt the car ran really good by the seat of my pants. Keep in mind temps are over 90+ almost daily 9 months out of the year.
All my writings indicated anything OVER 83 degrees the car ran like a dog. 83 and below the car runs really good.
