It’s not a lemon, it’s one problem that’s most likely causing all the issues. A bad harness, rodent damage, could be anything but it’s all related. We had a brand new van that came in with multiple problems completely unrelated. Turned out when they installed the seats the chassis harness moved and a screw went through the shielding of the harness. Things happen, it’s a car built and designed and repaired by human beings. I understand it’s frustrating but I’m sure they will pinpoint it and fix it.

While I do agree that what you have going on isn't cool. I think you need to give your dealer a chance. Misfires happen, have them check the spark plug and the electrical harness associated with that plug/cylinder that misfired. Lemon law is complex, and you have a lot more time and chances to fix before GM would consider a lemon.

The transmission active shift mode is normal behavior after you get into the throttle. It sees the aggressive behavior and will hold the current gear to stay in the powerband even in auto mode.

Thanks for the info...I had no idea....but even if that is a normal behavior, it shouldn't be throwing a code and check engine light. This is what I mean about never knowing if this car is ever going to be right. At this point I'm always going to wonder what is going to go wrong next. I shouldn't have to worry, especially on a new car fresh off the assembly line. 3 issues now in 1800 miles??? It's not like the car sat at a dealer lot for 6 months collecting dirt or moisture. Maybe I am over reacting, but this still should not be happening with a new car and to me is unacceptable. I don't think I'm being unreasonable to expect a new car to be issue free. How many times do I have to take it back for my dealer to fix? Be patient and let them fix it....over how long of a period of time is reasonable? They are saying, of course, that none of these are related. That makes it even worse. So I have multiple issues with multiple components? Very frustrating....the car has been at the dealer now for more days than it's been available to me to drive. That's just not right......

you're right to be frustrated. Going back through your previous posts, you still have an un-diagnosed electrical issue. They will need to investigate the code that was thrown. I think that if they go through everything again, and you still have problems after that, you will be approaching buy back territory.

Latest update. Picked the car up yesterday. At this point, I wanted to get more miles on the car to see if anything else would go wrong. Service guy said it was still safe to drive and it was probably the best thing to do. Was headed home after about 100 miles of just driving in different traffic/highway conditions and the car started to buck and sputter. Eventually the car lost almost all engine power and just shut off. Had to call roadside assistance at about 7pm last night to have the car flat bedded back to dealership from in the middle of nowhere. Service guy brought the loaner they had given to me previously out to where the car died so I had a way to get back home, which was very nice of him. He tried starting the car after it quit and all it would do is slowly turn over and not fire at all. Will not be looked at for this issue until after the holiday, on Monday. Sure sounds like more of the electrical issues popping up from the original wiring harness replacement. Could smell fuel while it was trying to fire, so it is not a fuel issue. And the story continues... we are at the send an engineer from Michigan to look at the car stage. Dealer and dealer rep working on that next, to certify it is possessed....

A tech was able to get the car started.....and it's knocking like crazy. I was at the dealership swapping out my loaner for a different loaner and heard it running....took a 30 second video.... Initial diagnosis-some type of internal engine damage....broken rod, spun bearing, crank, cam.... but won't know for sure until it's torn down. Unbelievable....

Man, I looked at some of your previous posts, and feel bad for you. Hopefully it's just a first production week glitch that hit you and the replacement will be the awesome ride you were hoping for.

I sure hope so. I loved the car when it ran and acted properly. I'm going to give it a try again. It hasn't scared me off from ordering another....

That's the spirit If it's any consolation, mine was 99% perfect out of the factory, and probably so is the majority of these cars. On top of that, you won't ever have to deal with potential A8 issues, heh. Do let us know when the new ride arrives

I will be posting in the tracking thread as I did with this one. I was just one of the very unlucky ones....unfortunate....I will have a better idea of what's going to happen next after my call from Chevrolet Tuesday.
