HUD Stopped Working and Paint Peeling Off of Rims

2017 2SS vert- having top issues so I was at the dealership and pointed out issue with rims. It seems the clear coat or paint is peeling off. Service manager took pics to send to GM to see if it would be covered. Anyone else have an experience with this? It isn't road rash, it looks like the paint is peeling off the rim.

Today my HUD stopped working. I adjusted the dials, took my Costas off, restarted the car...Nada. I need that HUD so I don't get a ticket! Has anyone else dealt with these issues?

Check brightness button setting? Right-most of the three HUD buttons.

I had this issue with my Cadillac. Clear Coat peeling on 3 of the 4 rims. Dealer replaced all 4 under warranty. They also sent pictures to GM for approval first.

Do you take your car through one of those automated car washes? I was doing that for awhile with the Cadillac and realized that the cleaner used on the wheels was very aggressive. It also turned the black plastic on the side white. In my opinion, that is what caused the issue. Of course, they wouldn't admit to it.

Update on Issues

I am stoked with the outcome! Rims were replaced under warranty, HUD was a fuse issue and they replaced the weather stripping on the top which fixed the wind noise issue. I am overall pleased with the service at Jeff Gordon. They are a super group of folks to work with but I feel like GM is getting cheap on some elements of the car (comparing my '12 SS to my '17 SS) and charging a lot more money. I am glad GM is standing behind their product.
