Also how come the bumper DRLs are on but the headlight DRLs are off?

I'm leaning towards Satin Steel, it matches up with all the new features like a glove.

The new taillights looks terrific with it too.
Satin Steel is one of the better colors on the car. The blue (forget the name) is also nice on the car.

The car appears to have its hazards on. You can see it alternating on/off in each picture. I think that's why it looks different than if the car was just running normally.

Anyone see the new front end on the Avalon? Lots of similarities.

Tail lights - like 'em
Rear fascia - yes
Hood - yes
grill - nope, just can't get there

Will it grow on people? Sure, some. But it may not take off like they hoped.

Or maybe the original 5th Gen was just a really good design. The 6th Gen had some really nice chassis improvements, but I think the pre-refresh 5th Gen was the nicest looking Camaro since the 1981 model. I would rate them 5th Gen - 6th Gen - 5th Gen Refresh - 6th Gen Refresh (for SS).

If it has to grow on you, then it is a sucky design.

Just go back into the 6th Gen reveal Topic - You had some haters, but overall the car was accepted pretty well and people were exited about it.
Even the not that popular 5th gen refresh got a lot of People exited at the reveal.

Now take a look at the 2019 reveal. It's clear that only a handful of people actually like it.

So of course seeing new cars for the first is always controversial, but none of the lastest Camaros was as bad received by the community as the 2019 model.

I don't remember too many people hating on the 3rd gen Camaro went it first came out. In fact, I don't recall of anyone who hated the 3rd gen design back in '82.

Everyone seemed to love it. It received rave reviews from all of the major magazines back then. The Camaro was Motor Trend's COTY for 1982.

Yeah, power wasn't that great. However, they remedied that in '83 when the "190hp" L69 came out. After that, it was pretty much golden.

Threw together a quick Photoshop of one of the GM Authority real world pics.

I can't believe how much better the SS looks with the simple addition of color across that center portion of the grill. Should be a very popular mod. Could even just get it wrapped so its reversible.

I'll get used to the front end design, but I'll never like it. The 2014 5th gen refresh never really grew on me either.

I'm sure it will probably sell just as well as the current car is, which isn't exactly awesome, but as long as it doesn't fall off a cliff we'll be OK. We all know that the development of the 7th gen is already happening. It would take a real disaster in sales for the next 2 or 3 years for them to axe that program.

That said, if someone comes up with a good way to put a bowtie up above and then fill the current bowtie, they are going to make a lot of money on the 2019 refresh. The aftermarket needs to be jumping on this now. Perhaps come up with an "easy" method of shaving/sanding the bowtie flat, then adding a filler, and create a landing spot and bowtie for the upper grille.

That alone would help a lot.

But doing that AND painting the bumper would be great.

As stated in the State Farm commercial, " She looks hideous!" lol. I'll admit I didn't like the 6th gen when I had my 2010, but it grew on me. I just can't get over the fact these look so much like the Charger's now.
