So far its seeming like asside from the warranty related issues (TC/A8, Power Steering Issues, and a remote few who had issues with the rear axle) that these cars are actually pretty well put together.

I'm at 35k miles, approaching the end of my bumper to bumper warranty period...so far so good.

A few chips were touched up with my patented method, two tiny nicks in windshield and the headliner issue upper windshield and passenger door. Why Chevy?

Holding up great for me but it’s an occasional use car and always garaged and covered In Winter. 12K miles. Convertible. Very solid chassis for a drop top. 3 years old now.

I think that my '16 SS has sustained very well like my previous 5th gen ZL1. Camaros are very dependable cars contrary to my previous '14 Corvette Z51 and '02 Porsche 911 Carrera wich were very unreliable.

She'll be 3 years old next month. 5,200 miles, 3 oil changes. Still has the new car smell. Looks as good inside and out today as the day I bought her.

Only problems I've had outta my 16 RS with 57k on her is that the auto trans will sometimes idle hard and shudder some or when put in gear with the brake held down, feels like it wants to launch back into the future....

Before going straight to a chemical (depending on how bad it is) here's what I did to fix the matting/remove oils and skin from the wheel to remove maybe a year or so of build-up/mating:

1) In a bowl mix about a cup of water with a drop or two of dish soap (I used Dawn).
2) Get a soft terry cloth or microfiber towel damp (ring out as much of the water as possible).
3) With some force but not clamping right down on it work the cloth around the wheel in each spot. You should start to see the dirt and oils lifting out of the wheel.
4) When you're done the entire wheel do NOT drive the car until it is fully dried. If you put pressure on it while driving you'll just mat the material again.
5) As it dries gently work it back up with a vacuum and a soft to medium bristle brush. You don't want anything too stiff it could do a number on the material if it is.

You can do the same for the seats but that's a little trickier because you don't want to soak it while carefully scrubbing the material. It's been about 2 months since I did it, numerous road trips since, need to do it all over again since the material is already starting to slowly mat again.

I have washed hundreds of 6th gens and I haven't seen anything messed up, like uneven panels or grill pieces breaking/coming off, etc.

Mine will be three on Thursday, but I have 43K miles on it. I love to drive it and my only other choice is my wife's Envoy. No major wear and tear and nothing broken.

Or use Sonax alcantara cleaner. It's brilliant.
