How is your 6th Gen holding up to wear & tear?

My interior is a bit dirty but otherwise as flawless as it was the day I got it.
Front bumper shows signs of dings from rocks and insects.
Otherwise everything seems to be good.

Coming from a MK7 Golf R whose piano black trim, along with the plastic gauge cluster cover would scratch just by looking at it, I'm very impressed with how the interior is holding up to my constant wiping down and vacuuming. I figured it would scuff easier, but it looks just as good as new!

Wear and tear is fine, but interior rattles seem to be multiplying exponentially.

I started with the wear and tear within the first 2 days. Drove 3 hours to get the car and on the way back going through construction I got my first chips kicked up by a truck. 2 days later, some asshat with an open-backed trailer full of gravel going down the highway cut across 3 lanes to get to an exit, sending everyone braking. Luckily no windshield cracks, but the bumper took some shit. 4 or 5 2000 mile trips between TN & MA have added to it. Other than paint chips and tires though, she's doing good. RIght around 32k on it at the moment.

Ram mount scratched the dash plastics during my first track day session that I used it before I learned to cover potential contact points with painter's tape. The fake alcantara on the steering wheel and shift knob is very flat but I need to try a cleaning product on it to see if that helps. No interior rattles for me yet (knock on wood).

The exterior already had paint chips from the previous owner on the front bumper, lower hood, edge of roof just above the windshield, and various places around the rear wheels. I have added more rock chips in those same areas during track days even with Zl1addons rock guards. The paint chips easier on this car than on several previous cars I have had, but the tires are also stickier which doesn't help.

I also learned that the SS 1LE front splitter is made of thin hollow plastic that cracks easily. The unpainted black ikon motorsports replacement copy splitter I got seems more durable but time will tell.

Mine holding up like new. no rattles at 27k miles. My 5th gen had 56k miles not one rattle either. Only constant wear is the driver floor mat get a hole where my heel digs in from hard shoes. On my second mat thats also getting a hole.

Mine are already wearing away on the leather by the stitches on the side bolsters, I am a heavy set guy, 5'8" and 260 though, so it is understandable. I am hoping to pickup some cleaning supplies to hopefully rejuvenate it.

Beyond that, I have had a small stone get lodged between the hood and cowl on the side, leaving a nice chip. Had a rock chip and ruin my front glass while following behind someone.

Xpel on front end has held up and saved the paint.. a couple rock chips on hood and right at edge of roof by windshield.. replaced windshield once.. three of four sets of tires.. 3rd set of brake pads on front.. car stays dead at 185.. interior flawless ( just wiped it for the first time in 2 years)..air con and heat work.. all electronics in 2SS work.. its seen more miles than most ( likely more than ANY Gen 6) and has been a great car.

You can sort of protect both the upper and lower seat bolsters by using the 2 seating positions. Make setting #2 be the one that reclines all the way back and down. So #1 would be your normal position. This gives you enough room to get in and out on with minimal wear.
