Something to keep in mind is that the A10 in the SS is not the same as the one in the ZL1.

Doesn't NPP come standard on the 2SS?

No, NPP is not a standard feature on the 2SS. It comes standard on the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE but is an option on the 1SS and 2SS.

Thanks man. I always thought it was.
What about the SS 1LE?

Save yourself some money and have an aftermarket torque converter installed. That will solve all your problems and you wont take a bath on the car in trade.

The SS 1LE comes standard with the NPP system.

Thanks, I was thinking so.
My apologies to OP for going off topic.

Yes I forgot to mention that in my reply about the 1LE option.

I’m interested in the A10 being in the V6 now. But I’m not the biggest fan of the eye shadow look on the RS. I’ll have to go out and test drive one.

What are the costs like to have something like this done? And, is there any sort of consensus on a good aftermarket TC?

Am also interested by what people in this thread mean by having the A8 tuned. Please pardon my ignorance (new to owning a fast car) but where does one get an A8 tuned and what does that entail and cost?

Thanks all for any info!

~1300 for tc. ~300 to unlock tcm (if you need it), plus 4 credits to tune (another 200). ~300-500 to install tc from a reputable shop. price will vary on tuning the tcm unless you try it yourself.

you can get the whole thing done for a touch over $2k if you get the right people.
