These days with the tolerances and advanced engine oil, 100K on the motor is nothing.
It's everything else that is the issue... hoses, shocks, bushings, clutches, etc.

I have about 106K miles on my 2016 SS M6. No engine problems at all yet; the water pump is occasionally whining a bit though, and one of the side radiators had a small leak.

I will probably keep it for another few years. I recently switched jobs and my drive will be going from 50 miles to 1 mile per day. So the rate of accumulation will drastically slow down. I'm also not overly fond of the new front ends, so I'll probably wait to see what happens in 2022. If the Camaro goes away then, I will have to decide what else to get. If it's a new design, I'll have to see if I like it as much as the 16 design.

The 16-18 design is absolutely awesome IMO, the 19 and 20 refreshes I do not care for. It would be quite a shame for the Camaro to go away (again)... the C8 Corvette looks great and packs serious power, but having only two seats would be a dealbreaker for me. Current electric cars are either butt ugly or a bait and switch to giving up all driver control and fun. As it stands, I'll have to seriously consider going Mopar if anything happens to my SS...

I had a 2010 Camaro SS, which I drove to over 100k miles, then a 2014 Challenger 392, then the 2016 Camaro SS. I enjoyed the Challenger even though it had quite a bit of extra bulk. The 2014 interior was not great, though; the switches and materials reminded me very much of a minivan. I know the interior has been updated since then, so right now I'd probably go back to that. I've been impressed with cars like the Kia Stinger, but I really like having a manual, and you can't beat the sound of a V8. Electrics are electrics. I enjoy driving way too much to enjoy an electric, I think, even if it was purely faster. I fly model airplanes and there's nothing like a fuel-powered airplane, even if an electric could out perform it under certain circumstances.

No, not even close 2016 with 5700 miles on it.
