https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...tte-c8-weight/ When you think about it what really lightweight DCT car is there? Maybe certain Porsches? GTR's are heavy. Ford also claims that why the GT500 gained between 350-400 lbs over the GT is largely due to the DCT they use. (the C8 uses an 8 speed Tremec DCT where the GT500 uses a 7 speed Tremec DCT) If I'm not mistaken the GT500's DCT is a 250+ lb tranny. When I saw a weight figure I though that it's weight is similar to the 4R100 in my Lightning which was a Super Duty Ford transmission designed for use with the old 7.3L Powerstrokes. Basically an updated E40D. Much heavier than your typical car transmission. |

If I would of fit in a C7, I would of bought one. Twice I went to the dealer ship trying to adjust the seat so that I could see the rd, I couldn't make it work, got a Camaro!
