New 1LE Owner Saying Hello

Hi all,

Just wanted to stop over and introduce myself as I will soon be the proud owner of a yellow Zl1 1LE. Found a great deal on one with just 600 miles on the Odometer (previous owner decided they wanted a GT3 instead). Price was too good NOT to pull the trigger so I'll be saying goodbye to my 2016 GT350. Dealer will be putting on the Xpel PPF and performing the 500 mile service. Just curious if there's anything else I should consider getting done before I take possession.

Congrats, Yellow Z1LE's are very rare.... I would get the ZL1 addon's rock guards... I got them a week too late on my SS 1LE which tires are not as wide as the Z and my rear panels got the wrong end of that deal...

Other than that, you are in for a blast.. once you get bored which will eventually come (if you race alot) Then that's where the real fun starts.... crazy as it sounds LT4's come pretty restricted from factory and do very well with very few mods.

I see, another 2016 GT350 to ZL1 convert. You will enjoy the extra power and handling.

Congrats

Congrats on the new ride!

+1 on the ZL1 rock guards ($100) but plan to visit your local hardware store to gather correct sized spacers needed to fit better. Or pay $400 for the recently released ACS’s.

Awesome. You’re gonna love the car.
Rock guards like G2K said. Look into ceramic coating the rims too as these pads create a lot of dust so the ceramic coating will help with cleaning the rims.
If you are going to drive the vehicle a lot and possibly in the rain you may wanna get a more street friendly and longer lasting tire on it.
Great choice is sport/touring/muscle/supercar. I never wanna get of my car when it’s time too. It’s that awesome. To myself anyhow

Oh and post pics when you can of course

I have had my ZL1 for 2 years and 3 months. I washed it yesterday and then drove it. I swear it drives even faster when clean; you know, less wind resistance...lol

And yes, I feel the same way, I don't want to get out of it when I put her to bed. This is her sleeping after being washed.

OP....once you go ZL1 then it is the only ONE.

Thanks all. Included the pic from the dealer's site of the car on display (didn't have time to grab my camera and do it myself). This is all I have to sit and drool over while I wait for delivery!

Welcome to the forums. Have to admit, wasnt a big fan of yellow, but that color combo on the 1LE looks pretty damn mean. Great looking car, I doubt you will miss much from GT350 except maybe the sound, but ZL1 at full throttle sounds great as well.

Congratulations and a rare color most definitely! Looks good! Welcome to the forum and ZL1 club! We need a few more Chevy converts like you instead of some Z owners going to Ford. I say to each his own and whatever makes a person happy!
