Northwoods Shelby Club Saturday & Sunday....MVP TrackTime on Monday. Three fantastic days, got to run all three configurations....set some solid lap times....need to get full track down to 2.39. Need some better tires and more courage.

All with 2018 ZL1 1LE, dry track, Pirellis, G-Loc brake pads.
Nicely done, North and South Configs are now on the board. New top time at Autobahn Full by a wide margin! Congrats.

I believe a 1:36 flat is possible from this car with a little more practice and shutting off all Traction management.

I had a passenger,
Tire pressure was 35psi all around Hot
Front camber -3.0
Front toe 0
Rear camber -2.0
rear toe 0
PTM Race setting
Front factory coil overs set to lowest position
Rear bar set in Middle spot

I had left the water shield in under the hood, and never removed the air deflectors under the front bumper.
Nice lap, up on the board!

Nice lap David - best i could do that day was a 1:36.47 - difference must be all the extra HP you are getting from the CAI . Let me know when you are heading back up.

Solid lap Todd, up on the board! All these ZL1 1LE's are making my SS 1LE time look pretty weak!

Track = Putnam Park
Elapsed Time= 1:17.71
Camaro Model = 2018 ZL1 1LE
Date= June 2018
Tires= factory Supercar 3R
Mods= track alignment

This is actually my dad's car. My 335 BMW was out of commission for the weekend at Putnam with the PCA, so he let me share his car. I was running advanced and he was in intermediate. I took the 1LE out for four sessions on Saturday, and those ~25 minute sessions were the only time I'd ever been in the car. So I pulled a few seconds off each session, ending up with a string of 1:17s on the last session of the day. We didn't run at all on Sunday because it was pouring rain. If we had good weather, I could easily see getting into the 1:15s based on what I was leaving on the table in the 1:17s. Maybe next time!

Finally, another Putnam submission!!! Congrats, clean lap.

Think bigger, a high 1:13 should be doable in the ZL1 1LE on OE tires. I run 1:13's on my SS 1LE on PZero slicks.
I wish I could have been at the KY PCA event last weekend, I was at Mid Ohio instead. I'll be at KYPCA's event in September though!

Track: Mid-Ohio (club w/ Chicane)
Elapsed Time= 1:42.03
Camaro Model = 2016 Camaro SS
Date= 6/13/18
Tires= RE71R 285 square
Mods= All OEM with 6 piston 1LE front caliper upgrade

It isn't huge improvement but I ran 0.63 seconds faster than before.
I believe my car, with me as a driver, can do mid 1:40, if I can combine all the best of each corners, but I couldn't break that 1:42 barrier this time either..... (I really wanted to see 1:41.999 instead of 1:42.xxx) Oh well, next time...

If I want to see low 1:40s, either I need a better car or a better driver.

I think 13s are very doable. There were a couple guys running 10s. I was actually trying be a bit conservative since I was using my dads car and I had never driven it before. I didn’t want to burn through his tires and pads since he wasn’t anticipating it doing double duty. I was braking early and light and not really rotating in the corners.

Absolutely, my dad and I do events together too... we’re lucky to share the hobby with them. Oh I know those 1:10 guys (Aaron & Pervez), they’re good friends of mine. Wish I could have been there, really looking forward to September!

Yeah, I know Aaron and Pervez too. Aaron did the track alignment on the Camaro. Perhaps I’ll see you at the track sometime! I might see if I can hit up putnam again next month, but I’ll be at IMS in August for sure. I’m the president of the KY BMWCCA and we normally host at NCM. But we are not this year.

Track = Gingerman Raceway
Elapsed Time= 1:41.15
Camaro Model = 2017 SS 1LE
Date= June 20 2018
Tires= OE Supercar 3
Mods= GM Track Alignment

A bit upset with myself on this one because I lifted prior to the PDR finish line when I saw the checkered flag For my own sanity I used the frames where the tower lines up with the LH side of the window and got 1:41.07 as the lap time. Still amazed with the car either way, though! I bet I can get <1:41 if I can get the entry on 5 just right and correct my line through 8/9 and 11, and maybe even get <1:40 someday

That's a great time, congrats!

I was there yesterday with NASA. It rained all day Friday and Saturday morning, so the track was really green. I definitely prefer the Supercar 3's over the 3R's at this track; the 3R's are greasy on this surface and need a much looser steering wheel to stay hooked up.
