I'll be 70 my next BD, been drag racing over 53 years and racing this weekend in St Louis. I sold my 9 second Camaro last year and working on my C7, its slow right now compared to the Camaro but I'm still tinkering to make it faster. I'll quit racing and driving fast cars when I take my last shit.

With todays rides costing $50K plus, its us older established working bees that can afford these kind of toys. Soon to be 60, as long as I can still bend the right way to get in and out my camaro I will. Its just too much fun to drive.

Yep some of us seniors don’t drive Honda CRVs! I’m 63 and really enjoy driving my ZL1 and will do so until I can’t or something else happens. It’s strange that I have developed an interest in VW bugs as of late and looking to buy after it’s redone by a shop a 1970 that will be mostly stock with the exception of 914 Porsche wheels and 2 1/2 inch dropped spindles in the front.

my first track event was with NCM at VIR in 2005. i was helping with tech when an old dude with a C5 came thru. he got out and was limping around his car talking to the tech guy. i remember thinking, whats this guy doing here? he will get hurt or wreck his car. well he passed me the next day and i found out he got hurt racing cars years ago. never again did i underestimate and older person and their car. now im in my 50s and i can still wheel LOL.

I turned 73 this past March and am of the belief that you are as young as you feel and my 2SS vert makes me feel young. Loving fast machinery all my life, I am not about to stop now. As Neil Young once sang "It"s better to burn out than fade away"!

Good attitude. I don't think I'd be satisfied with a car slower than 10.50 and
when in the 9 second range you'd better be awake. I'm 73 .. and aging fast.

My dad will be 74 soon and he owns a 2013 ZL1 that puts 600 to the wheels on a hot humid day. He's the reason I have 3 sunny Sunday cars in my garage

The other day I was sitting in my Camaro at the grocery store. A grey hyundai veloster, with tinted windows, lots of areo, giant wing, stipes and purple accents rolls by with rumbling exhaust and bass booming. They stop in front of me, roll down their window and an 80 year old lady gives my car a thumbs up

Age is just a number. You’re only as old as you feel.

After a lifetime of driving Buick Regals and LeSabres and Lacrosses my then 66-year old Mom bought a brand new C7 in October 2016. With the Z51 brake package.

She has no idea what those brakes are for other than she loves the red calipers.
