Range Device

Soooooo the guys at range technologies are telling me that a AFM disabler for a 2020 LT1 won't work with my 2021 LT1. Do you think this is just a "cover my A**" deal. I mean what the difference between a 20-21? Nothing, right?

I really want the device as I HATE HATE HATE the AFM.

People say it works fine, but I also got the same response from Range.

I assume there is *something* that causes them to deny the usage for 2021's (right now). I personally am going to wait until there is official support, when/if.

I'm pretty sure they are just covering their ass, I cant think of any reason a 2020 wouldn't work on a 2021...Aren't they identical?

But at the same time I don't want to risk it.

Same boat here. Mine is a 2020 2ss A10, but on the website, they are telling me that the A10 trans is the issue why they dont have any products that would work at this time. Other here say theirs seem to work, but would not care to spend the money a paper weight.

What is AFM? My car does not seem to have that, I cannot find it anywhere

And I would wait, you never know what GM did. I bet they have one for the 2021 soon.

I just bought one a couple weeks back for my 2020 2SS A10 and it works fine. I don't think they really made any changes besides packages on the 2021 so I don't know why it wouldn't work...

So did you buy one for 2019?

Yeah I guess I should have said 2020 AND 2021. You cant order one specific to either vehicle. You can get 2019 and older though. So that means they didn't make one in 2020 and they may or may not make one in 2021. Time will tell.

Seems as if there was another thread not all that long ago on this exact subject. Someone chimed in and stated there were two versions of the A10 trans. All I know is I dont feel comfortable buying one till the actually tell me it will work. So I guess I will just have to wait.

Sorry that was my bad humor. I have a TR6060 no AFM here.

So they work on the 2020 LT1? I thought it was only the ZL1 for 2020...

Ox.

Just got off the phone with Range/Holley Tech Support. The 6.2L/A10 is not supported in any configuration.
