Back on topic, I just had my dealer do my first oil change at 1000 miles. I asked them to use the Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP and they were happy to do so. Given that GM has switched all the LT1/4 factory fills to that, it seemed like a good idea.

Where is the heck does 10 qts. of oil go?
Must be a HUGE oil pan...
Good grief, my 632ci big block chevy only used 7 qts.

Thats nothin. Buggatis hold 18 quarts. Ferrari and many other hold a ton as well

Just see it as a added convenience because you just go out and buy 2 5-quart jugs of oil and you know you're good.

O'reilly's has Mobil 1 on sale for cheap. Got 11 quarts for like $63 with tax. Until the 25th.

10qts only came 1/2 way up the hash marks, so I would concur it takes 10.5 - 10.6 to top it up.

That's interesting, my 2020 2SS seems to got the top of the hash mark with about 9.5 qts... And that is with an hour of drain time...

Depending on your lefting methods you're gonna be +/- on about a half quart. I did mine last weekend and on ramps I got just shy of the 10qts to the top half of the hatch marks.

That’s exactly matches my experience. 10.5 qt to hit the full mark.

I prefer 10 quart sump verses a 7-8 quart sump.
