Need new front rotors and front brakes according to my closest GM dealer.

As the title says. I need front rotors and front brakes. Dealer was charging me a little over $700. I’m better off buying the parts and doing it myself. What type of brakes should I look for? Any upgraded ones I should look for? What about rotors? Any suggestions would help. Brakes were 3mm btw. My car is a 2016 and has 20k miles

I will take pictures tomorrow and see exactly what’s wrong with them. It could be that they just wanted to screw me on some new rotors.

Go with PowerStop Z23 pads and rotors if you really need them. I bought the Z26 performance pads and they squeal a little when the car sits overnight so I replaced them with the Z23 pads which are more for street than track.

These rotors are pretty stout. Are your pads worn down that fast? Are you at the warning clip (squeaking when you apply the brakes)? At the very most they might just need to be turned.

I'd take your car to another dealer and never talk to that dealer again. $700? Rip off artists.
