I’m considering it. I’m not brand loyal but I will say a big reason I choose the gen6 camaro over the mustang was out of the box the camaro was faster and I enjoy the power band of the LT1 over the coyote. That being said if the coyote is pushing 500 horsepower I can definitely live with the different power band for the extra power.

I have ‘23 SS 1LE coming in next month. Mustangs never really excited me. I’m betting money the SS 1LE equivalent will be substantially more expensive and the Camaro will probably be the last manual transmission ever made for GM. Sticking with the Chevy!

The ZL1 is still the better performance bang for the buck, especially if you track it but the new Mustang starts to shed light on an aging Camaro interior. If you don't care about being a little slower the Dark Horse model at about $60k could work vs. a $72k 2023 ZL1.

I am going to stick with my ZL1 for now. The 2022 Mach 1 Mustang I was looking at was $67,000 and the 2022 ZL1 was only 4K more for so much more car. No interest in the new Mustang.

Never ever would the mustang interest me. You can buy a base C8 corvette for 65k, and a stang with a 10 speed auto and shipping will be 50k. The dark horse starts at 60k and that will not be even close to a C8.

True but no manual option in the C8 if that matters. Furthermore, you would really need at least a Z51 to get the track hardware plus 2LT package for the interior goodies. More like $75-80k MSRP for "desirable" C8.

Not a chance in hell. I'd get a C8 before I'd ever get a Mustang. Never owned any Ford in my life. Have zero intention in starting now.

I priced out a Mustang similar to my 2SS convertible with mag-ride and NAV and it was like $8000 more. They force you into the Performance package for like $6000, and without it I can't get mag ride or even brembos. Hard pass!

Mustangs have never really done it for me, including this new one. The brand, the styling, the overall vibe just isn't there for Ford and Mustang. Outside of being the last of an era in more ways than one, it's not much different to me than all the previous Mustangs. Up to now that was a non-issue with all the available choices from other brands. I could picture myself in a Hemi MoPar of some kind, but not in any Mustang.

I've been happy with my '11 SS Camaro for all these years and have no burning desire to change it up now. I think even my '11 Camaro will still be fine for me even up to 2035 or whatever happens.

If I end up needing a two-door coupe after they quit building ICE Camaros and Dodges, I'd take a look then perhaps. But just to get one because they are the last of the last isn't reason enough. There will still be plenty of good used Camaros and Dodges around for quite a few years.

Never really disrespected Mustangs and I give them nothing but praise for sticking with an ICE model for a while. I just wish Chevy and Dodge had the balls to do the same.

No. Next car for me is a truck. Then the V3 CTSV.

This new mustang is ugly. Fiancé agrees. She's grown attached to the Yellow '16 I have.

You're not wrong. Pictures dont tell the whole story on interiors, but I dont like the S650 dash very much.

Maybe I can get over that, or even feel different about it in person.

I will HAVE to consider a Dark Horse with the cost savings. $12k+ is a lot of money, and I do like the exterior quite a bit.
