GM BUYBACK PROGRAM

I recently purchased a 2022 Camaro 1SS in July. The car has multiple issues, paint problems, misaligned body panels, defective workmanship, etc. The list of work to be done is extensive and the dealers first attempt at repair was a failure. They suggested would I consider the option of getting me out of the car and into a new Camaro through the GM buy back program. Can anyone offer any information on how that program works?

You’ll need a lemon law attorney. GM isn’t going to offer this or help you in any way. You’ll need to have all the criteria met for a lemon law case and the lawyer will help you get it completed. It’s not easy. And not free.

I’m not certain why you’re asking us.. The dealer suggested the “buyback program”. Why not ask the dealer to facilitate the process for you? That’s assuming there’s such a program and they have leverage to help.

Otherwise, a Lemon Law attorney will be necessary.

I ran into a situation years ago with a nearly new GMC truck that was less than stellar after 12 months and 15000 miles . Got more than I paid for it .

End result was trading it in straight into a Chevy dealer on a new Camaro.
Without all the "help" from the Customer Service reps who were taking care of the problem. Ended up thousands ahead of their offer.
