Tint question?

I had my windshield tinted, its great. However, there are a couple of tiny air bubbles in my field of vision. From the inside they look like water spots and only jump out in certain conditions.

Should I let the tint shop redo the windshield or live with it? Am I being to picky?

My concern is it will come out worse the second time. The tint guy said it was one of the cleanist windshield installs and I should expect 5 or 6 small bubbles.

After I got pissed and said that's fine, but not in my field of view, and not taking his brush-off, he offered to redo it.

As far as I understand, the bubble should work their way out after a couple of days in the sun. It does the same thing with decals and PPF. If it doesn't improve within a week I would take it back and calmly express your concerns.

Thanks! Being calm usually isn't my forte.

It's been a week, but the car has been in the garage most of the time. I'll move the car outside and see what happens. There were a few water bubbles in the side glass but they dried up and it looks great.

heat and direct sunlight is your friend now.

Small bubbles should clear up, as well as haziness

agreed with the fact they should go away with heat due to shrinking but if it doesnt look right go back and have them fix it. if it is a good shop they will fix it.

I took these this morning. They are going to redo the windshield, but only after I got pissed. Before that he was trying to turn me away, saying even his car isn't perfect.

Anyway, I'm not a window tinter but this seems a bit much.

That is totally unacceptable. Too bad you have to go back to the same installer.

Not seeing it in person it's probably enough to live with it on the back as in it can't be perfect but I agree on the windshield where you're looking through it constantly isn't livable for me. Kinda depends on what the price point was, $180 tint jobs you tend to get this and have it have it more livable If paying a premium price over that this isn't acceptable.

I had the Tiburon windows tinted once (all but the windshield), and for 200$ they were PERFECT from the start. You were not lucky and got a bad installer. Happy that it is resolved now.

Yes, the HUD is actually better. I'll probably have to turn it down.

Glad they were able to fix it for you. When I first got my car I had a full ceramic tint done, everything looked great except the windshield. For some reason with any light whether it was headlights, signal lights or even a glare off oncoming traffics windshields I would see triples of everything. One set of headlights I would see 6 headlights coming at me, obviously worse at night. Not sure if it was the adhesive they used or what, but it was super annoying and I was getting a headache every time I drove. I waited about two weeks to see maybe when everything was cured it would fix itself but it didn't. They redid the windshield tint and now it looks perfect.
