That being said, I bought mine wanting a sports car instead of a drag strip car, I was ready for a change and the ZL1 feels very properly balanced in all areas. I'm still not going to leave it stock though, LOL, it feels slow compared to the Hellcat.
I call 100% bullshit on this, some fueling mods and a 2850 blower and later days to the Hellchicken.

Hellcats make 8-900whp fairly easy with the stock supercharger and bolt-ons. The problem is they are very traction limited due to weight. It will cost a lot more money to get a ZL1 to 8-900whp opposed to a HellCat. A ZL1 should be faster at 800-900whp then a HC since it's a bit lighter but again it will cost more to do it....I believe that is all he was trying to say.

All the talk of 800 hp Hellcats etc gets old fast. The ZL1 is a sports car, it does more than go fast in a straight line with fat middle age guys driving trying to re-live their youth

The Hellcat is a great car. I can’t deny it.
They do make some stream with a pulley and tune up.
I am not interested in the bashing of the Dodge or Chevy.
We are all car guys at the end of the day.
My Dodge SRT brothers understand why I am going Chevy.
They all are supporting and can’t wait to crawl all over the ZL1 and get a look at the Bow Tie.

For 2021 The Rear View Camera IS on a ZL1 1LE. The 1st 2 delivered to one of my dealers both had it. That is a change from 2020 and older.

I built ZL1s on Chevy’s website and had some ideas about pricing with various options and wanted a ZL1 with not many options. The 2017 had the options I was looking for so I did the figures and thinking before jumping into the deal and finally decided to take it 2 weeks later. One person in California really wanted the car but was too late calling the salesman early the next day after I sealed the deal. I did have a trade in though, my 2016 2SS that helped with the final numbers of the ZL1 sale and I did have to drive 4 hours to get it but the trip back home that afternoon was a very memorable experience!
Cool man!!

Going from a 2017 ZL1 to a 2019 ZL1 1LE, here are the things I've noticed -

- Automatically ventilated seats (pretty nice)
- Upgraded infotainment system
- Homelink gone from the overhead controls, have to use an old school garage door opener again (lame)

You can call whatever you want, the Hellcat is currently a faster platform at the drag strip and cheaper too. Its not even debatable. You don't have to swap cams to get more fuel on a Hellcat, you don't have swap blowers on a Hellcat to get into the low 9s. You don't have have to use headers on a Hellcat until low 9s. Its just cheaper to make quick at drag racing, not even debatable really.
