My car came with the cold air intake and I just found out that bumps me out of BS for some strange reason... So I think I am going CAM-C as well, and getting the ELSD reflash. BS and CAM-C times are very similar in my area, so it should be just as fun to compete. And the PAX bump is not too much.

Had mine in for track re•alignment and had them flash it. Been wanting to try autocross. Track days are fun, but looking for something you measure your improvements.

You're gonna love it. You can go full send without consequences if you screw up.

What does this mean? One wheel peel instead of lockup? It's a diff. It can only do so much.

I think he was referring to the previous post about the guy wanting to try AutoX as opposed to track days. I don't think he's referring to the diff topic.

Yes, but what does it mean? How does it change the car?

From what I know it only operates in track mode with all nannies off, and under ~90 mph.

It is faster and more aggressive as far as locking the rear diff exiting corners, from what I hear... I have not seen the actual calibration data.

I plan on getting it done to my car sometime this winter, so I have not experienced it yet either.

So diff lock happens much earlier and likely at a much lower throttle application. That would make corner exits more predictable I guess. In stock form, it's like tiptoeing to the edge of grip. Just a bit too much and wheelspin takes away momentum. This cal likely just makes it reliably slidey.

Here is the thread with all the details of Chris V's description of the before and after results with the ediff tune on the autocross course at Grissom. (5 pages)

I think so... Sometimes, judging how much throttle you can give it combined with steering inputs, such as slaloms with spacing that widens or exiting a slalom onto a straight, can be a little vague. In more conventional corners it feels like you can really boot it out of the exit and the car just hooks up and it's awesome. If the AX calibration can make it feel like that all the time then it's well worth the $300. I think it has the potential to allow for significantly faster times, but it'll depend on the course too, how many elements it contains the stock cal doesn't deal with perfectly.

I'm hoping the AX cal, camber plates and 315/18s will allow me to get near the top of Cam-C locally next year, but we'll see... there are some excellent drivers in CAM.

I just meant that he was going to enjoy doing Autocross. If you push too hard on the track, you could roll the thing up into a little ball. A big autocross mistake usually just means you rub out a little cone rubber the next time you wash the car. So you can push the car quite a bit more without risk.

Ditto funked1. I believe it will also benefit in learning to improve in a safe manner. You can push yourself a bit more and overall improve your skills and have some fun.

in stock form youre exactly right thats exactly what it does. One reason i have been looking into a mach 1 with a torsen diff.
