OEM ZL1 Rockers Install on an SS

Was wondering if anyone has installed the OEM ZL1 Rockers panels on an SS, I know I’ve read about an issue with the spacing with the front fender. Is it something that can be done to get them to line up properly?

There are several solutions, basically you can either push out the fender with a spacer kit like this one, or trim the rocker panel (the front of the skirt section) to make it fit the SS fender.

Someone here went with this alternate solution using a body shop and the rockers looked perfect, unfortunately I don't remember which thread it was, but hopefully he will chime in here.

Thank you, I saw a few threads and a guy with Satin Steel 1LE that who had a body shop get his done. I wonder what was involved that they did. Also would love to see an install how to using the 5th Gen DIY kit, just to know how it turns out with that DIY kit. I’ll keep researching. I’d like to get OEM ZL1 Rockers even with work needing to be done to go with my ZL1 Rear Spoiler.

Or you can just buy the ones made for the SS and save the hassle and $$ of trying to square peg fit a round hole. lol.

Just as a side note, the OEM ZL1 rocker moldings are integrated with the panel and have a full bottom, which some may prefer to "hollow bottom" aftermarket skirts (that's what I have, too, and there is no other way to make those installable).
