Sounds like this is something that should be covered under the powertrain warranty right?
If you put the shifter in the left position and nothing happens w/ the paddles or by moving the stick forward and back, then yeah, it seems like something is wrong.

I hope since this is technically a drivetrain issue that it's covered under warranty. I've got an appointment at a dealer scheduled for may 3.

Have you made sure you're in track mode and not pressing the gas pedal and also not have the cruise set? Have you tried all this plus in D or manual mode?

He said his paddles don't respond at all when in manual mode. You don't have to be in track mode to use the paddles, and they should respond no matter how far or not the gas pedal is pushed. They also can be used whether in auto or manual mode. The difference is in auto mode it will default back to auto after a few moments compared to when the shifter is in manual mode, it will stay in manual and hold the gear as long as you want.

Remember you are likely in like 8th or 10th gear. When I do this, I have to click the paddle a bunch of times to get all the way down to something managable.

Ah. I see the post I missed on the last page where he was talking about that. I was still fixated on the hold for 3 seconds to lowest gear talk.

Yeah, no worries. Regarding the 3 sec to lowest gear talk...I find in my '21 ZL1 it essentially only takes about 1 second, and it can be done while in any mode (tour, sport, track), as long as the shifter is in manual position. It also works (tested today) whether the gas pedal is at 0% or pushed down. I went to ~1/3 throttle today in 6th or 7th at about 40 mph, and then held the paddle down, and it jumped to 2nd gear 1 second later. I know I've done it in the past beyond 1/3 throttle. It's a very responsive feature for me.

Yes, I've tried literally everything I can think of. Has to be some sort of computer issue with the trans not wanting to give me access to manual mode when I follow the right steps.
