Well the dealership might be baulking on the deal. 1 hr later after I had a cashiers check in hand and told them we would see them Monday morning they had another buyer walk in and offer full price plus the 5k over. They had already sent over paper work, but we did not get it back to them first, I didnt know it was a race. Guy sent pics, we made a deal and I told him sold. He sent paper work, we got check.

Crazy market for sure right now. I remember when these cars sat on the lots for months until they discounted them heavily.

I would rather have the wild cherry tintcoat over vivid orange if they were closer to the same price, but not for $5k more.

Red tintcoat metallic will look royal and powerful, orange interesting and more unique. The choice is yours, I went with garnet red tintcoat and never regretted it

I just realized 2023s will be $3900 more so while paying $5k over on a 2022 sounds ludicrous, it will only be $1100 difference pretty soon.

Both colors are great. I went with black since they had one in stock last year. It is my favorite when clean but I would have gone with either Wild Cherry or Satin Steel if they were available.

Well my decision was made for me this eve. Monument Chevrolet by Houston. Dealer notified me of the Red Z, sent pics. In the picture of the window sticker was the markup right beside it. It was 2500 over, he told me it was 5k over. I sent back the pic of 2500 over and said if this was the price I wanted it. He texted back and said they made a mistake someone labelled it wrong but the manager said they would honor it. He sent me a deal sheet and I said good to go. I asked about nearest airport as I was going to fly down and drive back. I went and got a cashiers check and plane tickets took pics of them and sent it to him. Deal was done, I asked about a credit card deposit to hold the car till tomorrow, he said they dont do that, but manager said we were good. He sent a text about a hour later and said someone else was coming in to look at car, I said why? Then he said the other guy was willing to pay 5k over. I told him I thought we had a deal? Then he ghosted me. I called to talk to manager the line would go dead. I finally was able to leave the manager a message. He called me back, I calmly asked if that was how they did business, he said he did not know about it, which was a lie as he buried himself later in the conversation. He tried to apologize, said he would order me a car and make sure chevy pushed it out quickly. I told him If they were the last dealership left I would drive a Mustang.
I looked on facebook for their dealership, they get nothing but terrible reviews.
Anyway Orange it is!
