My ARP header bolts were a huge pain to put in while trying to install my headers.
While trying to support the headers, the gasket and start the ARP bolts by myself, I gave up and used the stock bolts instead for about 300 miles.
Later, I replaced the stock bolts with the ARP bolts one by one because I got sick of seeing the nice ARP hardware just sitting on my work bench.
They are way easier to thread in when the headers are already bolted up!
Hahahaahah! This!!! I was just looking at mine last night.

I received my Headers today, They look great the bolts that came with Have a much smaller head then stock but Do look better, I guess In the spring or If I get to it over the winter I'll decide then which to use.

Do I use any sort of RTV on any of the slip fits or anything? I see it came with a tube.

The rtv is what they give you to use in place of your gaskets. Didn’t use it when I installed my headers, just reused the stock gaskets. I did not use any rtv on the slip fits. I ditched the bolts and used arp studs made it real easy to out the headers on to the head.

I had to do some hunting around to find the studs, it seems almost everyone is out of stock until sometime late January

The car is tucked away in the corner of my shop for the winter, I have no real time frame of when I'll install them, So if I do go the stud route I am not in a rush. Do you know the part number of the ones you used?

I installed the Headers today and honestly it was a easy job, I ended up cleaning up the factory bolts to get the surface rust off of them and hit them with some Hi Temp paint, The Bolts that came with the headers just didn't have enough shoulder for me, the Factory ones just seemed to be a better bolt. Sucks that they probably will rust again though.

That's exactly how I felt.

As fr as them re-rusting, I took the top off mine, used VHT primer then header paint and it's held better than the headers themselves, as far as paint.

FYI, don't waste your time painting the headers!

I have Stainless headers that I had ceramic coated, No Plans to paint. I do paint my SnowMobile exhausts every few years and I have found wood stove paint to really hold up.

Good pointer, I may try that.

I used VHT primer then red paint, it peeled during the "baking process."

I was going to get the ARP ones as well and I did find them but Honestly the stock ones cleaned up nice and seem like a pretty stout Bolt.
