I have nothing against a V8 Hybrid Camaro as long as I don't need to plug it in to use it.

You don't want 4.0 anyway. I think to run that, the chassis has to use Global B architecture. The Camaro's Alpha chassis is still running Global A, which is far easier to tune than B is.

the LT1 and 2SS each increased about $2600,

and the ZL1 increased about $4100.

Those were increases with no notable changes or packages, that I can think of. Add in the Collector's Edition package and the likely AMV charges, and the '24's may turn out to be a substantial jump over the '23's in "out the door" cost.
so, in my case the base MSRP will be $28,500 for 1LT, i want to see if i can get an allocation for 2023, but that's cutting it close, but i may wait until august when order banks open for 2024

also, I haven't been honest and upfront with everyone around here on camaro6 (and the haters and no one cares) I'm trying to learn on how to drive, and that is why I did not take delivery of the last Camaro back in January 2021 and hopefully I will persevere and overcome the hurtle and get myself a Camaro, hope everyone can understand (or not, who cares)

True, but the 4.0 version in this CT4V Blackwing I am driving is noticeably better than the mag-ride I experienced in the Camaro and C7 Corvettes I owned. Much more noticeable ride difference between the modes. Tour feels like you are driving a typical Cadillac. Sport and Track firm up the ride nicely.

You also get V-Mode, also known as Z-Mode on the C8, where you can push a single button to enable all your performance drive mode settings. With one push on the steering wheel it sets the Track mode dash display, suspension mode, brake pedal firmness, exhaust valves and desired PTM mode for the E-diff. Pretty cool for when you are just cruising along in Tour mode and you approach a nice stretch of road and change the personality of the car real quick.

Seems like for the longest time the Camaro has been a low volume car, whether intended by GM or not. With the whole supply chain disruption, EV disruption, the Camaro didn't stand a chance. We knew it was going away for a while now and it is why I ordered my SS 1LE. I now kinda wish I went with a ZL1, and I am still contemplating it. However I got 1.9% financing on my 2022 and got it for a little under MSRP, and the way it is looking '23 ZL1s are going at or above MSRP at much higher financing rates...I really should check with my sales guy to see what he can do though.

Happy with my SS 1LE, but I always wonder about a red hot ZL1.

I got the rebates, so it was below MSRP

From experience, I would stick with the 1LE you have there. It represents the sweet spot of price and performance and looks fantastic in Satin Steel color you have. You will have to spend $20k+ more for the ZL1 plus any depreciation hit you take on the 1LE and interest rates are over 5% now.

I know you will still lust after the ZL1 in your head but I owned both already. In hindsight I would have stuck with my SS 1LE on order vs. buying a ZL1 I found in stock. The increased power is great but you can't really use it on the street since the majority of the performance difference is at higher speeds where that extra horsepower makes a big difference. How often are you doing highway pulls from 70mph-150mph? If you prefer the M6, the shorter gearing and 1st gear clutch engagement on the SS 1LE is also better.

From a styling perspective you get the hood wrap, the best looking wheels IMO and the painted red calipers and the SS 1LE weighs less. The ZL1 gets the meaner looking front end and LT4 but like I said, once you realize you can't really explore the limits of these cars on the street, at least without risking your license, you probably come to the same conclusion.

Got a little bit of information from GM today on 2024 Camaro.

2024 will only offer LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS and ZL1 trims. No LS and no LTG 2.0T. V6, LT1 and LT4 only. Manual and automatic still available. A1Z will remain extremely limited for 2024 due to the carbon fiber rear wing.

Collectors Edition:
-Coupe and Convertible, V6 and V8, Manual and Auto
-A1Z(1LE) not available with C.E.
-Available on LT/RS, LT1 and SS(no ZL1?? )
I think they left ZL1 off unintentionally since the one teaser they've shown was a ZL1.

That's really interesting. I wonder if the "lack" of the 2.0T is an effort to not only simplify the manufacturing line, but to also utilize as many longitudinal LGX's as possible, if I'm correct, no other North American gm product uses it. Even those that use the transverse version are thinning out quickly.

Good info and confirms what we all knew was coming...reduced options in one of the smallest production runs ever for the '24s.

If GearheadSS posted it, that’s your confirmation…
