I was able to get 1 year on my Camaro for $50, which starts after the complimentary 1 year.
Got the 3 year special for $100 on my wife’s Lexus and a 1 year on my Silverado for $60.

I play the game with them and get to listener care and request to cancel. They start giving different offers and usually take the last and cheapest offer. Tried streaming on the app but drive though areas with poor cell reception/data.

I pay about 111.00 for a year with taxes. They send a bill for $240 something and I call them and tell them I want to cancel because I'm retired and can't afford that much and then they come back with a lower price, then I say I can afford about 100 bucks a year, then they throw a promotion in there for $111.00 including taxes. I'm ok with that.

That's about the same deal I get with them. It includes all available stations, Howard Stern, etc. I like it. Regular radio is unlistenable in Jacksonville so I gladly pay it.

I got one in the mail for 2 years at $2.72 a month. I called immediately and the guy on the phone tells me that promo expired, but says we have $5.00 a month for a year. I told him how can this be, as I just received it in the mail today. When I told him I'd like to speak to his manager he just hung up on me. Called back again talked to a different person and got the same response. Beware of the XM radio scam, because the cheapest you're going to get it is $5.00 a month regardless of what they're advertising. Got me to call, I guess you can call me a sucker. So a month later they called back and offered me $5.00 a month again. I asked for the $2.72 a month for 2 years. No dice so I hung up on them. Man that felt good. Lol.

I bought my car June 2022 and I was supposed to get a 3 month trial. 9 months later and I am still getting it, and I do not believe I have been paying anything towards it? Am I getting lucky or what?

I prefer streaming on my phone, like Apple Music, Youtube Music, Spotify. You pay 20ish a month for family plan (usually 6 users) and you can listen it EVERYWHERE, and you can listen to exactly what you want. You design playlist. You use it either by connecting thru Bluetooth to your car, or Android Auto/Car Play.
For me paying anything for just a car listening is dumb these days.

Perfectly understandable and reasonable.

OTOH I don't call other people's preferences "dumb". Just because you aren't interested in specific SiriusXM radio channels as shows or products, and you are happy with Spotify playlists, it doesn't mean others can't love themselves a good Storme Warren or whatever and be willing to pay $5 a month for it. A freaking coffee at starbucks costs more these days.

This is the same disdain I see about other people's preference for the built-in navigation, btw ("you're stupid, waze and google maps are free and update 12345 times a day" etc.). Not sure how this attitude helps.

I like the whole convenience of SiriusXM. Just set the station that I like and listen.

Tried both Spotify and Plex. Both use playlists. Plex is good if you want to host your server and content on a Windows or Linux server. Was the cheapest solution that I found. But for just $60 a year, easier to just use Sirius.

Long before that, ripped mp3s to a CD for for the car.

Some might not even be aware of options, that's why I posted this.

Youtube Music has "radio stations", where you click for example for "heavy metal" and you listen to heavy metal. Spotify might have same thing.
