Hello folks, long time reader first time poster here. I ordered a manual radiant red LT1 with NPP exhaust and Tech package from a high volume Chevy dealer in central Ohio. They said they wouldn't mark it up, and they would accept GM supplier discount. I ordered on 3/11/23 roughly 2 weeks before GM made the announcement that 2024 production would end Jan. '24. There are 2 orders ahead of me who want manual 1LE SS cars. Haven't got an allocation yet, and the 2 orders ahead of me have been waiting close to 6 months (I believe). I am wondering if things have just been backed up for the manual V8 cars or if I am late to the party. I check for cars within 250mi from my house, but the low option manual cars get snatched up almost immediately. I know it's still early, and I should be chill, but I am bit of a hand wringer by nature. Anyone have a bigger picture of what is going on? Thanks!

I was just at one of the high volume dealers in Detroit, and the sales manager told me that 1LE is the hardest thing to get.

Allocations for a 1LE are harder for a dealer to get than LT1 car. You would be more likely just on the face of it to get your car before those two 1LE orders. IT doesn't go in order like that, for the most part. Now if you ordered a 1LE and were third in that line, you'll need great patience before you ever get that car.

Yeah, Radiant Red is f'in awesome

Will def post pics when I get it and in all it's glory.

Hopefully the GM transit gods will smile on your car. I was braced for a long wait but it went way faster than I expected. Barely got enough rain to get the salt off the roads around here before I take delivery.

Ordered my radiant red, LT1, M6, V8, RS, Tech package, coupe in early Dec. I was priority 4 when I ordered. I noticed at least 3 V8's come into the dealership since my order was placed so that should have put my build next. So I pestered the dealership for his order list about 2 weeks ago and found out that my build had been moved down his list to priority 5 with 2 builds coming before my order. WTF?
I truly believe that the dealership kept pushing my order down his list because I was getting the GM employee discount.
When I called the sales manager to find out what was going on and pointed out how my build was obviously being pushed down his list, he knew he was busted.
Within a week he magically got an allocation and "pushed my build to the top of the list" and finally used an allocation for my build. Had I not pushed him I totally believe he would have held off on my build as long as he could because my build was substantially a lower price build.
Needless to say I'm not entirely thrilled to be purchasing from this dealership after seeing the way my order was treated. However now that I've pushed him to use the allocation on my build I'm happy to wait awhile longer to get the exact car I wanted! Good luck, and keep pushing!
