Manual only for me in the ZL1, don’t care if it’s slower, it’s far more engaging and fun. Long term, meaning decades or so, I think manual ZL1’s will actually draw more $’s. Just my opinion of course, but I’m not looking for collectibility, I’m driving it.

Anyway back to the original thread, Gearhead SS, I am interested in this particular car. If the order isn't placed yet, I have some requested changes, but from the sound of your original post it is already in and that is fine with me. Any idea on when it will be available? You can reach out to me privately as necessary.

GM's cut off to make changes to an existing allocation is end of the day tuesday. So its most likely that the build spec of this particular allocation is already locked.

I don't know Gearhead but I do know that everybody I know wants a 6 speed. Real sports cars have a stick.

Now this is my opinion and since we are pissing, I've been alive for 57 years and love cars. Which means I have bought many in my time. I don't care what anyone else wants nor how much faster an auto is, autos are for sedans and vans. Family travel type of cars.

Now don't talk to Gearhead that way around here.

I wanted to update everyone that I picked up this car from Gearhead SS on Tuesday May 9 (My birthday by the way) and drove it home over the next 3 days, arriving home on May 11 (my wife's birthday). Uneventful but fun trip and the ZL1 performed flawlessly. I immediately changed the oil and filter when I got home (1437 miles) and the oil looked fine (no shiny stuff). Gearhead SS made the whole process smooth as silk and I would highly recommend him for any kind of Chevrolet purchase. I am getting the windows tinted next Friday (20% sides and back, 70% front ceramic tint). I will using the car as a daily driver and leaving it stock for awhile to ensure there are no early issues but will be playing with it after that.
On a related note, I got a handshake deal with my buddy to buy my 2012 ZL1, the day before I left on my roadtrip and we finished the deal the day after I got back from my roadtrip. I did manage to snap a few pics of my Camaro trifecta before the 2012 was sold. As soon as I get them in a format that will work, I will upload them.

You have the trifecta Camaro collection and they look great. Gearhead SS shared a lot of good information on this forum when I ordered mine too. He's the real deal. That must have been a sweet ride from Texas to PA. I just read on GM Authority 5/17 that The 2023 Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE Is Under Constraint. The end is near.
