Axle back setups
So just doing my homework on stuff I'd eventually like to do to my ZL1, exhaust being one. I was just recently made aware via another thread that most companies other than GT Haus does not make a system that deletes the secondary cat and most systems now require cutting the oem stuff off, which I'm not thrilled about.
From the small amount of research I've done thus far, axle back is another option that doesn't require cutting.. However, in speaking with a HUGE well know manufacturer (starts with B) they stated the axle back doesn't sound good. What brought the conversion on is my mentioning that they list an axle back for the SS but not the ZL1 one even though it would fit based off other manufacturers. Why would they make a component for one model but not another, knowing it doesn't sound good and only offer cat backs for our ZL1s? Anyone with an axle back, what are your thoughts...sounds like shit? Lol |

The B company axleback will work on the ZL1. For the ZL1 they want to steer everyone to get the Catback instead of the axleback.
An no the axleback doesn't sound like crap. |
