Well that’s good to hear. If drive ability remains the same at that power level it sounds like the right move. Might have to slap my 103 on the ZL1 and buy a 112 for all the power if you get some good results.

Got it all tidied up today and took it for a ride. I swear the pedal is smoother with the 112 than it was with the 103. Quick check of the log shows 100 lb/min airflow at only 5500 RPM so we should rock and roll Tuesday!

Sounds like its gonna make some hay for sure. We'll all be waiting for the results. Glad you got it all lined out and looks good in the pics.

So, bad news first: no 1K WHP for me. I'm sure I could find a Dynojet somewhere and probably get it , but I'm going to have to make due with 927/917 as my final numbers on this blower. DEFINITELY learned some stuff...
The new pulley combo (running 8.00/2.65 now, was 8.00/3.00) is simply too aggressive. Don't get me wrong, it sounds downright nasty and I was saw 15% more airflow at mid range...but that extra torque and boost (18 pounds vs 15 with the 3.00 pulley) was asking for too much... by 6500 RPM I was making exactly 14.7 pounds. Which, is precisely the same amount of boost I was making with the 3.00 pulley at 6500 RPM! All I got for my trouble is much higher IATs and more trouble putting power down. The first few runs it kept spinning on the dyno drum...! Since there is really no more horsepower to be made I'm going to just go back to the 3.00 pulley. The reality is the motor needs more airflow than I can provide it with the 2.9 Whipple, even with the 112mm TB. The other issue is the super aggressive pulley combo resulted in high boost, immediately, even at lower RPM. This put a major tax on the HPFP that was difficult to tune. And a crap ton of extra torque at lower RPM on a car that already cannot hook up on the street is NOT helping... My tuner said I was seeing 90 ft/lbs more at 4500 RPM in uncorrected data versus my last trip up there... so there was more power to be had but I'm not sure it's worth overdriving the blower for midrange torque I don't need. I think the 112mm TB was not worth it under 1K WHP in my humble opinion. It's probably worth 15 +/- WHP at this level which really doesn't justify the $900 cost, plus $50 adapter plate, machine shop time, new silicone adapter and stainless clamp. Good street cred though. Thanks for listening fellas. The Camaro6 Forced Induction gang (led by KingLT1 and laynlo15 of course) has been a HUGE help on this crazy journey of burning cash and E85.

Have you thought about getting the Whipple ported?

I reached out to Kong about a year or so ago with that idea and he said there really wasn’t much room for improvement on it…
I guess I could try reaching out to Jokerz?

I believe Brett ported a Whipple and broke 1k whp with it on a M6 car. I remember him saying there was some meat on the bone far as porting. Don't really think it came to frutation being the 2650 stole the show and the 2.9 was discontinued. Now the LT4 supercharger is getting some love again since the X port program came about and guys are making over 900 with that little bastage.

Thanks Josh, sorry it didn't make the power you'd hoped for. The 103 is really a good combo for most of the Gen6 setups.
