After reading it, you should really think about new manifolds so plug wire issue never happens again.Seems you wasted more time on this build just screwing with plug wires.

I think the studs are part of the problem as they push into the boot protectors and they seem to all come apart at the same spot. Might try head bolts to free up space.

I use two studs just to hang the manifold, then use bolts, then remove the two studs and replace with bolts. I did this on the long tubes and on the Huron tubular manifolds. Works fine just my .02

I used the studs to really torque them tight without fear of hurting the heads as one thread is already helicoiled.

Those MSD's will not work. I went through a few sets myself. PCM of NC with the STOCK header bolts on the huron manifold. Heat Sleeved AND Doughnut wrap any of the ones you feel have touching issues. Been going a year and a half same wires, regular use. I can try to take pictures when i get home later if it helps any.
