2017 Camaro ZL! AFE Mach Force Catback Exhaust

A big thank you to Rich and his team at Dynocomp in Scottsdale, Arizona. His installation team installed the AFE Power Mach Force catback exhaust. Fitment was perfect. You do need to cut the stock exhaust by the second cat or resonator (not sure what the second cat/square shape part is) to attach this exhaust.

I have posted a couple sound bites. Please note I only have 300 miles on my car so I did not rev over 3,800-4k rpm. Valve is open/track mode.

I am very pleased with the sound and glad I went with a NPP dual mode exhaust.

Why are these companies coming out with exhaust that require a hack job?

A hack job? How else are you supposed to attach it? Its all welded from the cats back. Unless you get a full system like ARH offers from headers all the way back you are going to be cutting with any exhaust as far as I know.

I'm interested in the AFE headers. These guys bought Pfadt Race Engineering, and their new header systems look very nice. Tri-Y design with V-band flanges, etc.

Just curious why more people don't have this setup? It seems like a cool setup with the straight through pipe on the NPP side

Maybe if it deletes the secondary cats. Then you could bolt it to the primary cats. But stock, it is a continuous system from the secondary cats all the way back. So you would have to cut it. On the 5th Gens you could just unbolt it but it isn't that way on the 6th Gen.

2k for a partial catback that requires you to hack up oem exhaust? Ehhh. Bettwr options out there in my opinion. I'm getting full stainless works system from headers to muffler tips for around 2,500. Catted. With dual mode functionality.

$2K for any catback is way too expensive if you ask me. But it isn't a "partial" catback. It is a full catback. On the 5th Gens the catback bolted on to the OEM catted pipes. So you could unbolt it and bolt the catback on. On the 6th Gen it is all one piece. But it is still a full catback because it goes to the secondary cats. If it deleted the secondary cats then it would be a secondary cat-delete catback I guess. I mean, it sucks having to cut up the OEM exhaust but that is how Chevy designed it this time around. This exhaust looks and sounds pretty dang good. But there are much cheaper options out there.
