I am not sure if 1.8 rockers could work well with a LS9 cam but I think they could give the cam enough lift to make some decent power. Driveability and idle would not be affected only power. Something to think about if your dead set on a LS9 cam.

Put the thing in. I'd like to see what it does. Leave the AFM lifters in it also. If one flatlines you can just take the motor apart again. I ran a cam with double springs and over .600 lift with AFM lifters for about 15,000 miles. So I know they can last that long. I had other failures and the lifters were still good. They aren't in there now of course but they will hold up for a while either way , especially with just an LS9 under them .

Yes, with the 1.7 rockers lift is virtually the same. Nobody is arguing that there arent better, more powerful cams out there. Ill be changing to something different this year. But its got some perks. Good feeling using valvetrain pieces designed to go 100,000 plus. The LS7 cam has appeal, if you like or enjoy working on your car it makes sense. I knew it wasnt going to be the ultimate before going in, but it was worth $30 and a day of my time. But of course to each there own. Thats what keeps things interesting.
