Is a pulley swap difficult on a magnuson?
Thinking of switching to a 3.6" pulley, will I need any special tools? How hard is the swap?

The pulley is held on by 4 bolts. Not hard at all to swap out. Also with the 3.6" pulley you can reuse the serpentine belt that comes with the kit. In fact, the belt will be slightly easier to get on with the smaller pulley as it is very tight with the 3.8". Just read the instructions on how to install the belt and follow them backwards to remove and then do as the manual says to reinstall. Also, when you install the new pulley, make sure to torque the bolts down to 108 in-lbs.

Not hard to do a 3.6 with the 3.8 belt
About 20 minutes 2 15mm socket wrenches, 1 10 mm socket, 1 8mm socket and a long @ss screwdriver. |
