2015 L99 faster than 2011 L99?

Quick question why is my 2015 faster than a 2011 L99. It isn't significant but lets just say that I have noticed that my ss which was stock until Friday (solo catback, not really worse any hp) Seems to pull a little harder after 60 than some of the earlier L99s.

Now the other L99s had 50K-100K miles and mine only has 19k now but I am no great driver. I know the powersterring is electric on mine. Is the factory tune a little more aggressive than the early L99s?

It seems just searching through the forum that most of the early L99s put down 315-330hp stock and the later ones maybe 325-340hp. Does that seem about right.

At first I thought it couldn't make that much of a difference but then I remember when I put an underdrive pulley on my monte I gain .13 in the quarter and with that logic I am thinking the electric steering frees up maybe 10hp?

Thoughts?

L99s seem to be all over the place with power, like a huge margin of error or some shit with the over under on performance. You may have had a weak one before and a strong one now

Unless you get timed numbers butt dynos are not reliable. You really need to run one similar to yours...but if your like me....good luck finding one. I havnt raced another 5th gen of any year.

One thing that contributed to the higher measured rear wheel horsepower was the electric steering added in 2013. The old style hydraulic steering did reduce power and could be the reason why the later 5th gens seem to have some extra power. However, I'd be happy to run you in my 5th gen. It too has a Solo catback and not too much else.

I know we are only talking a few hp here but yes this is from actual "driving" if you will not just a butt dyno. I am talking a door length-half a car consistently in about the time it takes to run an 1/8 mile.

It was just an observation I noticed stock for stock. Driver skill probably would mean more then the hp difference.

Is each sticker still worth 5hp they add or has it gone up to 10hp now.lol

This is probably impossible to know depending on the driver and conditions, but the hydraulic steering change and suspension change in the newer L99s may benefit.
