The controller was the best money I’ve spent on this car. Hands down.

I have the Soler TC and TB. The good news is that Soler is a first class company and they have some of the best customer service I've seen. The bad news is that the TB did nothing for my car to help with the dead spot off idle. The TC did help with that problem, but only on SP4 and above.

IMHO, unless you are going to do several supporting mods, any TB is a waste of money. You will get tangible results with the TC at a fraction of the cost.

How it's 2020 and folks are still paying for a "throttle commander" is beyond me. The throttle commander is your right foot.

OP- I have a Soler ported TB and has fulfilled its intended purpose of improving acceleration at part throttle. At WOT hasn't made any discernible difference. You can't go wrong with either ported TB though. Mamo has been around forever and is a pro at porting TBs/Intake Manifolds. Soler is new to the game but has a lot of R&D for a ported throttle body. Vendors trend in the car world and Soler is definitely trending with Mamo not showing on as many threads as he used to. Buy whichever is cheaper and you'll be satisfied with the outcome.

why do some have this lag and some don'? My 2019 ZL1 runs great off idle and WOT. I have CTS-V same it is a 2012 never had a problem . Most of these products needs a tune but can be done stock with a tune with the same results.

It really does. And it’s totally adjustable to your preferences. It was the most noticeable difference of any of the bolt on mods I’ve done.

Yes, the throttle commander is the best money I've spent on my car.

those who say the throttle commander is your foot don't get the premise. I don't care how quick your foot is, it will never compare to the response you'll get with the throttle commander.

Unfortunately for me the throttle controller put my car in limp mode twice and I gave up with it. Maybe on a stock car without a tune it would work better. But for me I had to return it. Which I must add Mike Soler Performance customer service is hands down the best. He was fully understanding and gave me an instant refund. I do still have the lt5 soler TB yet to install. I wanted to keep it stock after it was going into limp mode.
Now that everything is re tuned I might reinstall it for one more try. Quality is amazing!!

The true test is do a 0 to 60 stock and put all these aftermarket parts on and do it again. Then you know if you spent all this money for something that is good, A tune is needed to make all them work right.

I’ve run both the TM and Soler TB without a throttle commander - there is no discernible difference between the two IMHO.

If I were in the market though I’d go with the Soler TB and Throttle Commander. They were designed to work together.

The Soler TC definitely changes the drivers input foot feel, if you have a tuned car you probably have already addressed the lag issue inside the tune.
You can obviously get used to the lag, but why bother when you can get that snap back?
