So does anyone know how the SS compares to the 1LE.
I'd love to see a test where they would test a base SS versus a 1LE versus a ZL1. Are there any tested times for the SS at the same track? Thanks

No. But figure at Laguna Seca that a regular SS would be a good 3 seconds or so behind.

I'd say more like 5 or 6. We'll probably get a time for the SS at LS eventuially. I'm gonna say 1:42ish - 1:43ish

eh. I'm thinking its more like 1.5 - 2 seconds behind. If the SS had Mag suspension with 6 pots.

...plus, at the cost of the brakes and MRC you may as well spend another grand or so and get a 1LE package. |

I agree. GM said the 6h Gen SS would post similar times as the 5th Gen 1LE, which I have seen on track. And that 6th Gen 1LE would about 3 seconds quicker. I also, read or heard that Pobst did a 1.40 or 1.41 in the 5th Gen 1LE.

It would be about where the LT 1LE would be but a little faster. Maybe 2.0 seconds faster. It's going to be track dependent. On a track with less straights, the times will be closer. I think the 1:40 time speculated previously would be pretty close to where the SS would run.
Mr. Pobst put down a 1:23.15 in the 2016 SS and a 1:22.81 in the 2015 SS 1LE on the same Willow course. So.. |
