I looked at those ones. They are not cheap that’s for sure.

Nope not at all but if you have extra funds its a better buy in the long run.

Funny thing is if you look at old pictures from the '50s and '60s guys pulled their race cars all over the country with station wagons. Also, nobody wore seat belts. Guys rebuilt carburetors while smoking cigarettes. Kids riding bikes didn't wear helmets and candy bars cost a nickel!

LMAO! True story!

To your first point, though... To be fair... those "station wagons" weighed a ton and were basically land-bound tug boats anyhow.

We use a 28' Aluminum Trailer Co. and it tows nicely behind our 6.0 gas 3500 Sierra. As this is mostly used for hauling circle track cars we didn't get the access door, but towing the 1LE has me wishing I had one. Luckily I'm a scrawny shit so I can get in/out but it's TIGHT.

To save on money when going to track weekends, you could pull that utility bed off and find a regular bed from a junk yard.

Then you could fit one of those bed tents to camp at the track instead of getting a hotel.

Something like this: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/napi...5&gclsrc=3p.ds

I knew a dude who used one of these in Rockingham...

Side Note on the Truck

Two updates hauling & Appearance

I recently put in a skid of blasting material in the rear deck of truck for a friend and did a few deliveries for him. Load was 2,140 pounds and the truck stayed level and hardly dropped at all. No problems what so ever on the drive in regards to power and stopping.

My friend owns a blasting company and offered to blast the bin doors and entire rear box. The factory paint for a service truck is beyond laughable and it was flaking off. Then it’s off to the body shop for paint at the end of the month. He actually let me do the blasting and it’s always enjoyable when your doing work for your own project.

First two pictures are just at the start of blasting and last two are the finished product. Now I wish I had a GEN 1 Camaro project to blast.
