I spent 3 weeks last year driving around Scotland and Ireland in manual transmission vehicles that had this feature... #1 - with both the cars that I'd rented, the start/stop feature could be defeated. #2 - it wasn't so terrible to deal with. I got used to it after a couple of days (I was interested in seeing how this feature worked in the real world) and it was pretty well seamless in the application. The bottom line for me was that it caused zero inconvenience for me once I got used to it and if push came to shove, I could simply turn the feature off. No big deal and not worth fussing over. Best regards, Elie
