We used to see 19 to 24f year after year in the 1980's and now never get to 32f where i live anymore. The summertime pattern has changed also since the 70's with most of rain inland or toward the east coast and missing my area on the gulf.
I live in Punta Gorda and I agree! I moved back to fl in 2015 but lived in Naples from 91 to 2002. Our weather in Punta Gorda is now warmer than it was in Naples during the 90s and Naples is always warmer than me and more tropical in general. Whenever I go to Naples in the summer you can't even breathe so humid. Go to manasota key in July and water is over 90 degrees and sitting on the beach you sit in a sauna due to the gulf being so hot.

I noticed that about the storms too. Inland fl getting the biggest storms.

The axis of the high is always south of the Tampa area giving us a west flow so T- storms build inland and move away toward the west coast.

We have dew points around 84f sometimes in the summer.

Yesterday on Thanksgiving, I installed the Airaid intake tube with a drop in K&N air filter and removed the sound tube. I also installed a Mishimoto oil catch can and a ZL1addons premium tow hook. Then I went out and laid down about 180ft of proof that I installed everything right. I am thankful for high horsepower, rear wheel drive, manual transmission cars. I am pretty sure the tow hook was the biggest power adder.

Put it away for the winter yesterday in my sister-in-law's extra garage space. Full tank with STA-BIL storage. Tire pressure at 38 psi. Eva-Dry dehumidifier on the floor mat. Several mouse traps on the garage floor. Battery tender connected under the hood (cable routed from under the car). California Car Cover "Dustop" indoor cover. Insurance changed to storage mode.

The plan is to let it sit there until the end of March 2021. Meanwhile the daily driver Mini is ready to go with a set of Blizzak WS80 tires.

Filled the tank with 93, it must have been winter blend because she didn't really like it, aired the tires up to 40 psi, hooked her up to the trickle charger and put her under the indoor cover. Time for the wintermobile, sigh.

The one good thing about these winters is once they're over, that day in March almost feels like getting a new car each time, heh.
