I guess today was car wash day for a lot of us. I got up early and took care of my F1FTY and the Mrs. GTI now that the weather has finally cooled down in NC. We then went to the Hops and Hogs festival and spotted this nice 70 something (maybe ‘73?) SS.

Bonus picture of someone who thought their Nissan was a Jeep all the sudden. Don’t forget a DD folks ;-)

I worked all day and it rains tomorrow. But mine needs another wash. Might try and wash it next Friday before I go on my road trip next Saturday. Yes I said road trip lol.

And very cool on the hose sliders. I need to get some more. I seem to have misplaced mine.

I wanted to get Pike’s Peak in the background but there were other folks taking pics. It’s off to the right out of frame behind the tree.

Definitely picking up some of those hose sliders. Heath, what are those door closers you put on the inside of your doors?

Saw a couple of F1FTY brothers at the Bumpers for Boobies fundraiser. I didn’t enter my car because I didn’t have a chance to wax it and it rained a bit last night, but still had a lot of fun. I really liked the orange pin stripe on the mirrors of “Cerberus”. I’m sold on the ZL1 taillight swap after seeing it on the second 50 I spotted. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the owner to chat though.

Edit: Also might have finally come up with a name - MeliSSa or MiSSY for short. I really wanted a name with SS in it. This would be the first car I’ve named. I usually don’t, but people keep asking me what her name is. Anybody else name your F1FTY?
