The 120mm is 4.72”. The 149mm I ordered is 6”. Way bigger. Said that wrong.

Well, that’s pretty massive! At least the MAF housing won’t be a restriction anymore lol…

I have a 6” to 5” short radius 90 degree coupler on order. So I know I can easily make this work without the RotoFab box. I’m going to try and use it though. Will play around and see. In my post to ZL1Atlanta you can see how the maf housing is built. It has pretty much a bell mouth built into it. Pretty slick.

My SC broke on Thursday so gotta send it back to Kong. Not certain precisely what all broke in it or whether any material got to a cylinder.

That sucks. I have actually reached out to multiple people on making an intake. I have one interested using a 3D Print design.

Happy to jump in on some sort of group purchase if you come up with something cool.

They make a regular filter and the race version.

I would be willing to ship either or both of these to whoever is designing that intake for nothing. Just give me a deal on the intake once it’s done.
Interesting piece. It looks like the MAF housing is fairly close to the opening. What we noticed on my last intake, was that if we didn’t give enough runway from bellmouth to MAF, the air was turbulent making tuning at low RPM difficult. At least that was the case on the previous engine, but it mostly went away on my new one with a larger cam.

For the time being they are just focused on racing applications, but that filter is definitely a great option for more mainstream usage if they do it.

I'd like to see a dyno before and after that monster is installed. Seems like too much for your build.

I could definitely get it on for a dyno only run. I would rather have too much than not enough as long as it can be tuned and packaged right. That elbow I got tapers from 5” to 6”. That will make it nice. GM platform has sub par blower designs IMO and intakes compared to Dodge and Ford. Multiple Ford TVS and Whipple kits run this PMAS MAF housing. Can easily be searched.

I’m waiting for Joe Cordes to get back with me. I’m working on getting his fab guy to use the parts I have to make one while they have a ZL1 in their shop.

Their fab work is 2nd to none. They know how to lay a bead down.

When I get my car back this week I will see how this fits. Turned out way nicer than I thought with this nice short radius 5 to 6 coupler. Maybe I need to come out with my own intake? Lol

I ordered their regular oiled filter too which is pictured. It’s big enough with that 6” inlet you most likely don’t need a race filter at sub 1kwhp.
