So, you're thinking about getting that new exhaust, eh?

Then you'd better stay the heck outta Paris...

“Noise is the bane of modern life and a major health issue. It hurts people like secondary smoking does," Villeneuve Mayor Didier Gonzales told Reuters in a report published last Friday.
This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. Last time I checked, noise didn't give someone cancer or lung disease.

Don't worry. Electric cars will take care of all of these pesky things.

“We have nothing against Ferraris or Harley-Davidsons, but their owners sometimes like to demonstrate their vehicles’ power and the noise really troubles residents,” said Villeneuve official Remy Jourdan.
Sadly there are very few Ferraris around here so I can't speak to that. But there are a lot of Harleys and there is a douchebag subset running short open pipes who feel like everyone around them should know how loud their motorcycle is at all times.

I am firmly against automated ticketing but if there is a silver lining to that black cloud of government overreach it would be shutting down those idiots.

They could make a ton of money in Jacksonville if they used those detectors to target loud radios with amplifiers and large bass speakers!!!

There's a couple around the corner from me whose backyard backs up to ours. They have also gone door-to-door asking that people refrain from using dryer sheets. Their rationale is that the wife has severe allergies and that the use of dryer sheets sometimes makes it impossible to leave the house.

Not sure how much of this is real and how much is internalized. No impact on my household. We don't use dryer sheets. No reason other than we just haven't.

I don't know you, but I suddenly want to purchase a dozen boxes of dryer sheets for you for Christmas. PM me your shipping address.

That's so weird. I understand people saying something for loud cars that are started too early during the week but dryer sheets is something else. Don't tell em about the new washer/dryer beads they came out with lol
