I'm only at -2.3 and I've still corded the insides on every set from the amount of street miles i put on.
Btw ive just noticed your 47psi....be careful as the max psi is 50 i believe and 47 will sure as heck exceed it with some driving temps. I would think 37 cold should give ya enough relief for the shoulders?

It's actually 51psi and yeah I monitor it pretty closely, I've seen it get to 50...

It should be noted that the pressure molded on the sidewall is max cold pressure, not max pressure.

From TireRack - A tire's maximum inflation pressure is the highest "cold" inflation pressure that the tire is designed to contain.

Thanks for pointing this out! I stand corrected. As a matter of fact GM manual recommends 44psi for prolonged high speed comp runs like a 2 mile etc.
Thanks and cheers!

Thanks, I didn't know that either. Not that I really want them to go above 50 though.

Yes, I was going to say that about GM's high speed pressure recommendation.

I run -3.2 camber and .125 toe on a pretty rough track 3.7 miles 17 corners and seems to be working pretty well - still shows a little more wear on the outside. If there cording inside it’s more than likely your not pushing quite hard enough. My experiences with the Hoosiers is if you get them much above 47-48 hot they will delaminate .

I'm willing to bet a large sum of money that you will cord your inside first if you do any decent amount of street miles.

Sign me up too
But cording the inside has nothing to do with not pushing hard enough. It has to do with the INSIDE tire scrubbing (as Sean has pointed out in another thread i believe). Or just too much camber. Or toe being out of whack. Or all of the above.

Agreed - about 70% of miles put on are on the track.

I got 40 sessions or 10 days out of my first set of fronts, so likely its a driving habit if you are killing SC3's in 3 days.

Just in the off chance you didnt know, it should be noted that as a whole an SC3 has 7/32" of tread depth. However on the outside 1/3 of the tire you get 4/32" worth of tread block and then 3/32 of solid rubber while the inside still has depth left. If you dont know this about the SC3 it can appear like it wears out real fast.
