1388 miles trans leaking!

Did the dealer rack the car and check the fluid level in the trans? If is overfilled it could be coming from the vent at the top.

Sometimes its helpful to arrive at the dealer with photos of the problem area and even pages copied from the shop manual. You should put the car up on ramps, find and photograph the leak, and show this to the dealer. If you get the "roll eyes" response, it's time for a new dealer.

I have been fortunate in that my dealer is responsive to this approach: photos, shop manual pages, and TSB numbers where applicable. But over the years, I have also encountered dealers that really don't care about service and return customers. Two of those dealers don't exist any more...not surprisingly.

It's already time for a new dealer, we can quite clearly see the subframe is soaked in transmission fluid yet they cannot find a leak. Frankly, they probably did not even pull the car into the shop. Or it's such a hard job to fix they decided to lie and hope that he would take it to a different dealer. That wouldn't be the dealer though, that would just be a lazy mechanic... Warranty pay sucks for them, if they're busy with regular jobs they may hope it comes back later when it's slow and they need the money.

Because we do not have a dipstick to check the level, I would have the dealer rack the car and add transmission fluid at least till they find this leak.
