Installed the Sema grill in the front clip. I had to bring it in the house so I could put it face down on the rug in order to install the new grill. Very tight fit and the last 2 clips were a pita!

Far as I am aware the 'riots' lasted what 2 hours if that? The response was swift - by the time I got home from work Wednesday the protest was over. Roads were fine that evening and the next morning. I didn't even realize anything happened until I got home, it kind of seemed like a blip in the day... I watched the CNN coverage and they were so fascinating compared to the local news. it was like a different planet.

id guess those pads are aligned properly, but the difference in tire size creates the illusion they are not.

Got dealer-installed mud guards, rear only. Oil dipstick knob cover and airbag warning cover...these 2 items are the last of any visible yellow...front side marker lights were previously blacked out. Shift knob cover that sets off nicely with the vent trim rings (inspired by the Blazer RS).
I have a ProClip cell phone mount on order, will upload a pic as soon as I install it. |

Today I installed the ZL1 seats I picked up from a forum member earlier this week. The Recaro seats were the only option the previous owner didn't check and they will be much appreciated on the track. I haven't seen any 2SS 1LE Recaros since I started looking so the ZL1 are a good option that lets me retain heating/cooling and memory function without swapping hardware and harnesses. They bolted/plugged right in and work perfectly as expected.
Initial impressions are that the Recaro seats are much firmer and less comfortable than the stock leather seats. I say this as a 6' 165lb driver who found the stock leather seats to be the best I've ever experienced for longer drives. I hope the Recaro are nearly as good in that regard but I'm not holding my breath on that. The Recaros are so much better at holding for corners so hopefully no more seatbelt locking will be necessary to hold me in place on the track. Also headroom is improved by over 1" which means no more helmet rubbing the headliner. I'm thinking of dyeing the white/grey stitching in the rest of the interior red to match. Also thinking of selling my leather seats so I don't have to store them and risk messing them up but don't know how much interest there is out there. |
