ETA was Today, now pushed back to 8/19

The car was last seen at what I'm assuming is the VDC/railyard located in Mira Loma, CA. That's about 6 hours away from my dealer, so it was reasonable to expect it today or possibly tomorrow.

With the new ETA delayed by 2 weeks, is this just business as usual or could the car possibly be damaged in transport, etc? I could imagine delays if it was at Lansing, but definitely didn't expect a new delay on the day of supposed arrival when it's just a few hours away.

Anyone got some insight into what's going on?

Do you know where the car was at those original ETA dates? I've been following this debacle for a while, but I don't recall ETAs being pushed back so far when it's already out of Lansing hell and relatively so close to the selling dealership.

Sadly no insight to offer. You may as well consult a fortune teller. There is no rhyme or reason to what Chevy is doing. Making it up as they go.

It was out of lansing around mid July. Then sat at New Boston for about 2 weeks before seeing movement in vinview.

Are there dealer installed items? If so I wonder if that can have an effect on dates.

At least your car left Lansing.

My 1SS 1LE was built prior to the shipping increase from $1195 to $1395 and has been at 3800 status without any ETA. Still sitting in Lansing.

I thought the new destination fee only applied to 2023 model years?

That is what I thought when I first heard about the price increases for 2023 cars. However, as I spent weeks looking at and calling on many 2022s I noticed the increased shipping fee on just about all the later made 2022s.

I had a deposit originally on a 2022 LT1. Shipping was $1395. I finally found the 2022 1SS 1LE I really wanted and it had $1195 for shipping.
