DW440

Has anyone used one of these? I wonder how flow would compare to the stock ZL1 pump? They say you can use it up to 20V intermittent.

Might be a nice option for SS folks especially if it flows better then the LT4 and brushless (less heat) along with the fact it retains the stock fuel bucket.

I tried the DW400 version and found it to be virtually no better than the LT4 in-tank. I know the DW440 is a tick bigger, but not enough for any consequential difference. If the LT4 w/JMS voltage booster isn’t enough, just go for the DSX booster (I wouldn’t) or for right for the Fore Innovations setup. Chris Crawford pushed me towards the Fore triple setup and I’m glad I listened to him.

I’d absolutely go with the fore over DSX, but I use this car on the road course so eliminating the bucket is a no-go from what I have seen on here. I’m not hardcore enough to go surge tank as I only see 2-3 events a year. Just don’t have the time…

My max hp goal however I decide to get there is prob 650-700rw. 800+ IMO would be a nightmare to manage on a road course. E85.

I’m leaning towards landspeed ported heads/Titan1 cam/lpe hpfp/xdi+30 and either this or Lt4 low side for this years round of mods. E85. Fuel system is overkill but I have an agreement with the wife on max $$$/yr for car mods so I want to take full advantage. lol

Then next year go with 2650 maybe. I may love staying n/a for road course work so that is still TBD.

I wonder being brushless of it would do better at the higher voltage then the DW400 did…

Hmm, not sure what the LT4 w/JMS limit is with E. Hit up @KingLT1…he knows these numbers off the top of his head.

I think I was at 780 WHP on the DW400 w/JMS on 93 when I decided to throw in the towel. So the DW440 could work for you potentially.

His recent post actually convinced me to go LPE pump/xdi. Haha. Honestly with the cam I prob don’t need the LPE pump…. Still have to think about that. What is the max HP you can get on full E85 with JMS on LT4?

I don’t know if I’ve found that.

Now if I can just convince King to make a trip to Indy and tune my car. (For a fee of course) lol
