I recorded this cold start-up of my LT4 in March of 2018.

In September of 2018, the supercharger idler pulley was replaced under warranty because the noise had become constant and didn't go away after warmup.

No strange startup noises since the pulley replacement.

Can the engine be started with the supercharger belt removed? That would be an easy way to isolate it to the supercharger itself or the belt/pulley system.

I pulled the supercharger belt this morning and started it up - sounded perfect - maybe my car just wants to be an SS!

At least I know it’s in the pulley / supercharger system - hopefully that will expedite troubleshooting by the dealer tech.

Sounds like its going to be something to do with the bypass valve or one of the pulleys. It sounds more like a pulley going bad to me.

You need to let the dealer deal with it since it’s a new car under warranty!
